The Big Bads, the master of masters

It is less shocking nowadays since the rise of anime, but especially in older shows, the revelation of a larger, more powerful being the hidden force behind the principle villain of a show was always one of those moments that proved unforgettable.

Usually these guys made only one appearence, if that. They were spoken of in revered tones by main bad guys who usually talked down to every underling and good guy. They were guys who had conquered a dozen other planets and now they're after the hero's homweorld. Often they were the very source of evil all throughout the show's universe.

Here's a couple I remember:

Horde Prime (He-Man/She-Ra): Revealed to be the master of both Hordak and Skeletor. Never even shown except as green gas and a giant metal hand.

He whose name cannot be spoken (Dungeons & Dragons): Venger's planet thrashing master. Shown as a giant green tornado. Spoke in a terrible hissing language. Punishes Vnger, chases the kids all over the Realm and then gets bored and leaves.

Unicron (The Transformers Movie): ok, not the Decepticons nmaster, but still goes with this catergory. Who, as a little kid, didn't think "Holy" upon seeing a a planet transform into a the biggest robot ever.

Any others?
