The Best Toons and Comics You've watched in 2008

Shows:

There was Phenius and Ferb cause I love the tasteful humor and the crazy characters, Ben 10: Alien Force cause it was a vast improvement over the first series, Transformers Animated cause I loved the references to the First two shows and I love the stylish Bots, and Spectacular Spider-Man cause it really stays true to the roots of Stan The Man's famed wall-crawler.


Movies:

Kung Fu Panda was Funny and a great action film, The Dark Knight cause let's face it, it has done a way better job with The Batman than the recent toons featuring Brucey, and Wall-E cause I didn't see it, but I want to cause it looks so great.


Books:

Marvel Comics cause the big Secret Invasion was cool and all their flagship titles were Spectacular, Batman cause it was really thrilling with the "R.I.P." storyline, and PvP cause it's recent stories was funny and dramatic.
 
Shows:
Phineas & Ferb, Mighty B!, and Flapjack are all great shows that are fun to watch IMO

Movies:
Wall-E. I haven't seen any other animated movies this year
 
As for TV shows,I rarely have time to sit and watch.....The only series I watch on a regular basis are Bleach (Cartoon Network's Adult Swim),which I like for the characters,humor,and the fights....and when there are new episodes of South Park,because it never fails to make me laugh,even in the worst episodes....

The best animated film I've seen this year was Wall-E....it's a very funny and sweet film,and the animation is really beautiful,too (this is on my list of Blu-Ray discs I really want to get).....

The other films I've seen were either Disney's DTVs (The Little Mermaid 3,Tinker Bell;both of which were surprisingly good,Tinker Bell impressed me so much that I'm looking forward to the next "Tinker Bell" DTV)...or movies based on long-running anime (the second and third Naruto movies and the first Bleach movie)...I found the Naruto films kinda boring (the third was a bit better for me than the second,since Rock Lee got a decent part in it),but the Bleach movie was good,even if it was basically an extended TV episode,which introduced an awesome character (Senna) that we're not likely to see again,since she's not in the manga....

I don't really read comic books much anymore,though I do like comic strips and manga...

Best comic strip for me is Pearls Before Swine....it's very funny,even if alot of the humor is very dark/cynical....I love how the creator, Stephan Pastis, often has characters from other comic strips appear,and that he himself is a character in the strip.....

Best manga is Fruits Basket....I like seeing how all the characters interact with one another,and it's a real page-turner for me...I also enjoy the Bleach manga alot,since it's often funnier that it's anime counterpart(I like the little "between chapters" sketches/stories,and the occasional side-story as well)....
