...muzzle velocity of 335m/s ? What is the acceleration of the bullet while it is in the barrel, assuming it to be constant in m/s^2?

What is the acceleration of the bullet while it is in the barrel, assuming it to be constant in g's?

For how long is the bullet in the barrel in s?

I have no idea how to even approach this question. If someone could just help me out with the equation i would have to start with that would be great!

v^2 = 2aL; where v = 335 mps and L = .127 m. Solve for a = v^2/(2L) = ? Then in G's = a/g; where g = 9.81 m/sec^2.

L = 1/2 at^2; solve for t = sqrt(2L/a) = ? You have "a" from above and L is given. Plug and chug.

It is clear you need to become more familiar with the so-called SUVAT equations. They are essential in HS and undergrad physics.

if you can make up the formula for constant acceleration, then you know the exit velocity and can extrapolate the relative values for the desired results
