The Beatles or Led Zeppelin

Not a comparison. Each is great in its own right.

Zepplin was the sex and rock&roll style and the Beatles were the art and peace style.
 
I'd agree with that. It's impossible to compare them to any extent. They both contributed vastly in their own area.

It was a coincidence that I was listening to Led Zeppelin when I found this thread. I got "For your life" on now.
 
nah... beatles were good, but not greatest no contest. they were so big because they were something new at the time. idrather listen to the dead, hendrix, the stones or the who...

Obviously, both are insanely great in their own ways.
 
The Beatles are one of the most overrated banRAB ever. not saying they're bad....they just aren't nearly what so many people say they are. Zep on the other hand.....awesome
 
News flash, led zepplin wouldn't have existed had it not been for the Beatles. Led Zepplin had the beatles work and recording style to go off of. John Lennon is one of the greatest rock musicians to ever live not just in his music but in his style and reasons behind rock and roll.

Dont get me wrong, I love Zepplin. I loved Zepplin long before I loved the Beatles. The high pitched vocals, the ear shredding guitar solos, the bang on percussion, the good lyrics. Then I grew up, learned some music history, and understood.
 
And when it comes down to it there was just too much good music in that era to call one any better.
