Now, I'm one of those females that don't mind either way. If I need it down, I'll put it down myself and don't see the need to start fights over it.
But isn't it weird when it's the females in the house who insist on putting the seat up?
I live with two other young ladies and as far as I know, I am the only one who cleans the toilet regularly. If they clean it as well, then I've never noticed. And I don't mind it either- cleaning up after others is not such a chore if they don't leave the place messy to begin with (and I guess my usually playing "mother" just has me settled into that role)
But one thing I DO notice is that the toilet seat is ALWAYS up. I always put it (and leave it) down after cleaning it or using it, main reason being that I think it looks better that way. (We live in a student hostel, and the toilet does not have a lid lol)
A Y!A friend and I were discussing the "toilet seat up/down; men vs women" issue, and I decided to find out whether others have experienced this- where females keep the seat up deliberately?
There are no males who regularly use our loo so I know it's the girls' preference.
Should I ask them what gives? Or will they think I'm weird? xD
Worshipper of Jah: I learned about that last night during the discussion. Like I said, we don't have a lid (and no, I don't worry about that enough to buy a toilet lid myself lol) so we'll just have to avoid breathing in when flushing the toilet LOL
