the antenna on my 90 mazda 929 s won't go down and i can hear the antenna motor...

...trying to make it go down.? i'm thinking maybe its frozen since it's 20 degrees out but i don't know. could it just be failing?
 
so push go it to go up get ou tand pull it up an dleave it alone im sure than the problem an dbest you get with it fas tor it will burn it out and then it will not do anything
 
Usually these antennas are pulled up and down by a plastic cable that either strips or breaks. That is why you hear the motor, it still works but the cable is broken. If you hear the motor all the time, pull the wire off the motor in the trunk. If not, wait till it warms up and see if it works.
