461 Piquette (corner of Beaubien) is an old abandoned Ford manufacturing plant. I want to have a look at the site when I am in "The D" so can anyone tell me what kind of neighborhood this is in? Is it a safe area compared to the rest of Detroit? And what are Detroit's worst areas?

Downtown is the safest part of Detroit, well safer than the other parts of Detroit.

The address you gave is not Downtown, in fact that area is very shady, and very deadly quite. You wont find another soul there if you, I suggest if your still interested go with a group of people, prefferably three, but the more the better.

It also has a lot of open land, so you might not meet many muggers there, but if you go at night, your bound to run into some drug addicts and gangsters laying claim to the waste.

Suggested time to visit..

Mornings are always best...no one is awake at that time.- Weekdays are even better.
