The 5 most EFFECTIVE treatment I've found for acne

Alright, I've tried many products out there... From proactive, to accutane (which Accutane did help, but wasnt without multiple side effects), to diet, to this and that..

The most effective ways I've found over the years? Suprisingly natural treatments... which I never really believed in, and still don't fully, but when it comes to skin-care I guess I do now.

1. Urine applied to skin. Did you know that Urine is mostly water and Urea? And Urea is used in MANY anti-acne products, even prescription acne treatment products? YEAH, I know it sounRAB digusting. But it is not. Urine is completely Sterile and is NOT, I repeat, NOT toxic. Unless you don't have a liver or a kidney, then perhaps. Your body simply gets rid of things that are in excess - for example if you have excess vitimain C guess where that goes out? In your urine. Urine contains minerals, vitimains, and enzymes that the body didn't currently need at the time. It's also antibacterial. Don't believe me? Look it up. It's used in different countries and many people swear by it, but Western medicine likes to frown on things that are "prescription" or made out of chemicals. I've personally tried it, and am simply AMAZED... I apply a little to the face using a cotton ball/tissue or something of that sort, and apply to places with acne. Then wash off after about 30 mins. Some people leave it on overnight. You WILL NOTICE A DIFFERENCE within a matter of days. If you aren't open-minded enough to try it, and think it's just "gross", then I'm sorry, but you are just being ignorant. Chances are if you're reading this, then what-ever you are trying isn't working, so if you want to keep trying to find something that works then go ahead, just do your research before you instantly say "it's gross" and won't work. I even knew a dermatologist (not a natural doctor, a REGULAR dermo) who told me it's the best treatment for acne, but of course doesn't like to be promoted because how could they sell it when everyone has their own for free?

I'm 90% sure if you where to try it, even if for only 3 days, you'll notice an improvement. If not you can call me an idiot, I don't care. I've even noticed improvement by the next morning after doing this.

2. Lemon juice. Lemon juice, if you buy the small little bottles that are not from concentrate, but rather just pure lemon juice, those work the best. Put a small amount on a cotton/tissue or something, then apply to any Acne. I've seen results sometimes hours after doing this. I've had whiteheaRAB where the white puss has literally fallen out the next day, sometimes even the same day, after applying lemon juice to it. It's a proven fact lemon juice is antibacterial and pretty potent stuff. Again, look it up if you don't believe me.

3. Honey. This can work great for some, maybe not for others. Personally it's worked for me. Honey is also PROVEN to be antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. All natural honey, without any added processed crap in there like you find at the regular stores, is the best. The only reason why it could be negative in some people is due to honey being thick, it COULD perhaps clog pores a little depending on your skin. I've never had that problem, and it's great in reducing inflammation and getting rid of bacteria.

4. Using a facial soap that doesn't contain lots of Irrirants in it. Many standard soaps contain many chemicals in there that can irrirate the skin - especially if you tend to "over-wash" your face. This just drys it out and doesn't help the skin. Try using a cleanser that has the least amount of harsh ingridents in there.

5. The last thing is sunscreen. If you're prone to acne, don't use Sunscreen, but rather use SUNBLOCK. Yes, there is a difference. Sunscreen is the most common, and contains multiple chemical in there that absorb UV rays in order to protect your skin from UV damage. But are those chemicals good for your skin? Not really. In fact they can be irrirating to sensitive skin, and are a no-no in people with Rocesa. Using a SUNBLOCK, which contains either Zinc Oxide or Titanium dixoide ONLY (or maybe one other ingrident) is the best idea. I've switched to a Zinc only based sunblock, and it's helped with acne, reduced inflammation, and provided MUCH stronger protection than any sunscreen on the market can do. That's because sunblock is superior to sunscreen - Zinc Oxide relflects or scatters UV rays and actually forms a layer of protection on the skin, rather then absorbing them like the most common chemical sunscreens do. Again, look up Zinc Oxide if you want proof for yourself. Even professional dermatologist will tell their patients who have sensitive skin/and or Rocesa to use a sunblock that contains Zinc oxide in it, because it does not cause irriration like chemical sunscreens do, and even can help to treat acne/reduce inflammation. Since I switched it certainly has helped my skin a lot.

If you are for some reason un-willing to try a treatment simply because it's "natural" and not-over the counter, then well what can I say. All I can do is recommend really is Accutane if the acne is moderate or worse. It's the only over-the counter or prescription that has ever worked for me. Everything else out there - proactive, etc, they all contain harsh chemicals that simply irrirated and dried my skin out further. While accutane works internally, which can stop acne at it's true roots. I'd still rather recommend these much easier, cheaper, and "healthier" treatments before trying Accutane though, as there are many possible side effects with Accutane. And It's also avaiable only through prescription, and last I heard the restrictions have gotten much higher on it since I was on it.

If your acne is really bad, i would recommend an anti biotic.
Doxycycline was the best for me.
It cleared me for face and body acne.

I did the antibiotic thing years ago. It cleared my acne *temporarily* and ultimately wrecked my immune system. 6 months after finishing 30 days of antibiotics for acne, I got measles (though I'd been vaccinated for it), pneumonia, several colRAB, and a flu.

When I tried antibiotics again, a similar thing happened. Antibiotics are a bandaid, and taking broad spectrum antibiotics for extended perioRAB of time, as is done with acne does more harm than good in my opinion.

Not to mention... it helps contribute overall to the antibiotic-resistant bacteria out there.

Thats what happens when u take drastic steps for something so small
And listen to those who think they know it all
If u strengthen ur immune system and apply tea tree oil on ur face and wash it with raw organic milk(also add cinnamon to it)
Natural is the best way to treat human body and look at it as whole not parts or machine.
Stress is also a reason for acne so shot the stress out of the window and do some workout.

U know ur stuff, western medicine is just to make money of people suffering(only few drug companies which want to help but other then that its all about making money of people suffering)
Want prof, do research on how many over-the-counter and nuraber of prescription medicine that were/are being taken of the shelves because of dangerous side effects like deaths.

Hey if you want to go natural, i mean really natural, applying urine to affected acne works wonders. Dont believe me then try it, you dont have to tell nobody, it is a social taboo, also one of the oldest tricks in the books for all skin ailments including cuts. It takes atleast a week to work applying twice a day, your own urine of course. Good luck. its free, easy, and always available.. plus you never have to wait for a perscription, and you will never forget your medicne.

you made some really good points. I just left a comment on page one about the effects on urine. It has worked wonders for me when nothing else has. Lemon jiuce i have tried too, it works good, especially for cystic acne, but i think urine works way better and stings alot less. Honey is a good idea too, but i have big pores. I never realized the difference between sunblock and sunscreen thanks for that. have a good one and good luck with your acne.
