.... look how the world has been tumbling down lately. Now I'm not trying to invoke crazy thinking, but honestly you can't rule it out yet.

Instead of every fucking person saying "Thats not what it says" can somebody please explain what it DOES say in return? Your argument is shit.

I wonder if the Myans forgot to carry the one in they're little prophecy and then realized the mistake when they were getting wipped out themselves.

It doesn't really say a damned thing.
The Mayans created a system of calenders that are super accurate. They predict all kinds of celstial events.

How the Mayans knew what they knew, why the Mayans put the things in there calenders - this is a modern day mystery of a long lost culture.

What really gets people crazy is that the Mayans predicted there calenders far out into the future - then just stopped.
Dec 12 2012 is the last day on the Mayan calender.

There is no prediction for that day. It is just the last day the Mayans bothered to predict out to.

It is exactly the sort of thing that causes all the usual people to come out of there usual places and start saying there usual things.

my best guess is there could be a shift in consiousness...mankind will shift to its intuitive nature, but after a lot of suffering. The suffering of mankind is necessary so we can realize our true nature..so i'de say it would be the start of a new era. I wouldnt be so naive to say that the signs arent there. The mayans were very accurate and smarter than your average know-it-all OTer.

Maybe 12-12-2012 was their last prediction before spanish conquistadors killed their asses

also interesting note, my cousin's birthday is on 12-12

Man that would suck if the world ended on your birthday

It wasn't a prediction. It was just where their calendar ended and would restart again... Kind of like December 31st isn't a prediction in our calendar, it is just where it ends and restarts again.

the mayans were leaps and bounds beyond the intelligence we see walking around today. if it werent for the spanish conquistadors making it a point to burn down their libraries wed know a shit ton more than we do now and wed probably be a lot better off. one walk through one of their ruins will change how you feel about their intelligence.
