See that's the thing; we live in a pretty depressed area economically; no one can afford to pay to have their house cleaned or to have a bbaysitter. People do those things themselves, or have family members as babysitters. None of ym family can keep Kane after 2pm. This is why I've not had a job since starting school.
For a better look on the situation: Dustin, when not laid off, works the same schedule every week. 10a-7p Mon Tues Thurs and Fri; 10a-4p Saturday, Wed/Sun off. Kane leaves Friday morning and comes back Sunday evening; he goes to his grandma's 45 minutes away every weekend. When I applied for jobs for only Wed and weekends, no one wanted to work around that particular schedule, so I gave up. I have no babysitter after 2pm, and Dustin doesn't get home until anywhere between 7:45 and 9, depending on if he had to work a deal last second (he is a motorcycle salesman, which is why he is laid off in the winter--no one buys bikes October through February). We can't get a state appointed babysitter because we make too much. We can't get food stamps because we make too much. They're taking me off the medical card at the end of this month because we make too much (Kane still gets to be on it though, so that's good). Dustin also pays $200/month child support; we get $800ish for his unemployment. Our rent is $324 (including all utilities--we live in subsidized housing), we have a $413 car payment, $318 car insurance, and a $50 house phone bill (including internet).
That's the deal.
