Text Scam Verizon

I purchased a envey phone for my son, back in September. Since then, my bill has been a nightmare. Verizon has guarenteed me after getting a new bill, that I would not have additional charges for text and chat. I have been paying almost $200.00 more each month, and they blame me for not monitoring my 14 year olds account. Verizon is scamming customers, and letting our youth be scammed out of big bucks. Dose anyone have any similar incidents with verizon. I need help. What action do I have against the big phone company

What plan do you have? Do you have unlimited txt and pix? (not the 'unlimited in' $5 plan, the unlimited $10 a month one) If not then you can't complain.

Claiming that Verizon is scamming customers because you can't read the fine print is ridiculous. Being a responsible customer is half the battle.
 
well, the first problem is your plan... why is the bill so high? going over minutes? too many txt msgs? what is it?. You should talk to your son too, he is the primary user of the phone, you cant accuse verizon of cheating you, if your son is using their resources, then you need to pay for it, its not free. If its too much, then why dont you get him a prepaid phone.
 
Agreed here too. considering that verizon has been pushing the select and premium plans like crazy, how could they be possible be "scamming" on the Txting. A simple upgrade on the primary account from basic to premium (a $10 diffrence) gives all the lines on a shared plan unlimited txt/pix/flix.
 
I totally sympathize with you. I assume you've tried contacting various Verizon agents, but have you tried talking to any store reps? They might be able to help with the situation. Other than that, the only thing i can think of is to check out fixmycellbill.com where they apparently save people hundreds off their cell bills annually--I just saw them profiled on Good Morning America. Good luck, let me know how everything turns out.
