Text not showing up in Photoshop CS4?

I've tried so many fonts, checked the font sizes and changed them to different sizes big and small. Tried changing the colour and still nothing, It appears in the layer for text but not on the actual canvas?

Any help?

Opacity is 100%
Tried doing shadows too and nothings appearing still.
