Text Messaging witht the 7100???

Hello all, I just got my 7100 yesterday, and I have not been able to send/get a text!! Can someone walk me through the process, if there is one???

Hello and welcome to rabroad. To send a text you have many different ways, but there isnt a dedicated "send sms" option.

You can send sms as an email, or even do mms instead.

If you dont have any of those options maybe you dont have a data plan yet, which is required before you can do anything.
 
well if its not nextel this is what you do
1)go to options on the main screen
2)then go to sms option
3)scroll down to network to send over : and highlight Gsm and select
4)text messenging should work if not retry steps 1 to 3 except highlight gprs or gprs preferred and try it maybe it would work then.
