Text Messaging Rumors

I have recently been hearing all over that you will soon be able to:
  • Check each text messages sent/received
  • Who each text is to/from and what time ((Although I believe this is already possible))
  • Be able to limit/set the numbers that you can text and that can text you
All starting next month.

Are these true? How much of it is truth?
Happen to have any information of if it includes picture messaging or not?

Secondly, is that legal? :laugh:
 
The above listings might fall under the chaperone feature if its true about theie release. Being able to set the number of text messages received and sent makes a good marketing selling point. A parent's dream come true.
 
That would be a good point, and I did call up verizon and ask about it and they said it's false, for a first reason of not being able to keep record of that many text messages. However, chaperon would make sense.

Don't believe rumors, however this one might have some ground. Check the news tomorrow....... not that i would know anything about this....
 
To see who text messages are being to sent to and received by, go to your Verizon account online. You can see the date time and the telephone number. You can even block numbers from your account online. This is applicable only for personal accounts. If your mobile number is billed under a business account you will not have access to the same information.
 
i use the Verizon wireless website (My Account) for everything, usage, i pay my bill, check out some news, good website for surfing. One could find out about features and applications, i order my DARE off the website.

The Verizon website gives some good details about the navigator and chaperone.
 
it may not be a rumor, i checked into the Verizon website and it has a usage control page with filter controls. Photo of the Verizon web page click on the link below
