I was wondering do you get charged for text messagers when you receive them or open them. Thanks.

I depends on your plan. My family and I have the "Unlimited Texting" Plan. But as I understand it, you cannot send any files bigger than 1MB or they charge you $1.99 + tax for each file. But anything under 1MB seems to be fine. So you can txt message all you want. Now, some people are on tight budgets and don't want to pay for texting. You can use web services such as the one in my signature to text for FREE without attachments. It comes in handy when you're at work or at home and if you have big fingers! I hate texting on the phone keypad so I use the web instead. Plus it's safer than texting while driving and they can reply to your vtxt Verizon email or use the service to text you back.
