Text Messages Take Forever

How are the messages handled differently.

I did this with someone who has Nextel, and when you do it (in email type format); they do get it instantly. Rather than just going into your contacts list and choosing Send Message (or whatever) and just sending it to that phone number.

Mine takes about 1 hour

yes text messages other then from nextel people seem to take forever!!! only issue i have with nextel. there are days to where i don't receive any text messages, then a few days later i get a whole crap of them since they were backed up
