I got this text message earlier today and was wondering what was up with it.

I already have version 4.2.

Is there something i missed in the upgrade.

If you have 4.2.1.107 you have the most up to date TMO OS.

They are probably trying to catch all the people who didn't apply the DST patch to their devices back in the fall, whatever month it was.

I got that text message too and I just deleted it. I'm running someone else's 4.2.1.108 and I just didn't want to go backward. I don't know whether I have the DST update is on that one or not - it should be, right? 'guess I'll find out soon.

See if you have a 2007 DST patch in there

You can download the patch OTA.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you DID NOT update the DST patch for your COMPUTER as well and you rely heavily on your calendar and sync it, make SURE you go update the patch on your computer as well, or else your calendar events will be screwed up 10x over.

I just got it, and I came right on here to see what was up with it. I was excited for there to be an actual update... now I'm kinda disappointed

This is the DST patch. Last year it was found that the blackberries didn't auto update with daylight savings on the network. There was a patch available that solved the issue. Most phones with the new OS already have the DST included. As a precaution, we are still sending the update reminders for those customers that don't have the log up an update. Most of you have it and can disregard the txt.

Hmmm... I do get T-Mo text messages from time to time (mostly on non-Blackberry devices), but I haven't gotten any re the DST patch. The fact is, back then I applied the DST patch and it KILLED MY BB -- luckily I was able to remove it and get back to normal. I am not going to risk it again
