Sorry yes I ment sure type. Sorry long day. I am giving my wife my curve and she likes the sure type I love the full key feature but I am getting rid of my curve. Thanks for the replys

That's what it sounded like to me too - Sure Type is a very cool feature of the Pearl but it's not available on non-Pearl devices as far as I know.

Right, the only non-Pearl device with SureType is the Storm. Give her a day on full Curve keyboard and she'll be as fast or faster than she ever was with a Pearl.

That's probably true. My adjustment from the Pearl (and Sure Type) to the Curve was more of an adjustment for me because the spaces between the keys on the Curve were actually less than those on the Pearl.

It took me a few awkward days but I made the adjustment and am faster now on the Curve than I was on the Pearl. I WAS always fascinated by Sure Type though - it's a great "technology."

The only other devices that has SureType are the pearl flip of course hence the pearl, and the portrait mode on the storm.

And actually, I don't know if you can set it to always type in this format but it uses t9 on passwords and stuff.

what you can do is something like autotext, create shortcuts for certain words like i would screw with co-workers and when they typed the letter "I" it said "Jon is ruler of the universe" when they would press "A" it would say "You suck".

(i know i'm a jerk) but something like that may work. of course not with everything but for some of the things your wife maybe spelling
