im thinking of switching to tmo from spcs

currently i tether my bb a few times a month on sprint's evdo network...

can u use t-mobile's edge data network the same way?
is the data included in the 19.99 bes blackberry plan?

thanks

Yeah you should do it! The EDGE network is faster than I expected, up to 144 kbps. For the 19.99 you get unlimited EDGE and GPRS, but it's not for enterprise email. If you need outlook or lotus notes etc, it's 29.99 per month. It's worth it!

Jace, I am on Vzw with EVDO and tether at home for internet access on my laptop. Very convenient. I have never used Tmo but from my understanding of the networks, EVDO is definitely going to be faster than the EDGE network. This is what I have heard, not something I know from experience.

i use my bb tetherd every day its my only internet source .on cingular edge i average about 75 kbs sometimes i get up to 100kbs edge is a lot slower than evdo

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~i have sprint evdo and the connections are pretty fast, I usually get about 120kbs to 144kbs, and it is very convenient for me,

you have pay extra on your carrier I pay about 65-70$ a month just for tethering but it is convenent to have internet for my laptop any where I go.tether is useing your bb as a modem

yes - that is why I asked the question, Cingular was raping for me this charge, which is why I went to Sprint. Sprint's blackberry devices just aren't as stable and solid coverage as the 8703e. I'm so glad to be back on GSM, and I'm very happy with T-Mo's coverage in Chicago.
