tether via motorola phone tools?

I hooked my cricket branded razr2 up to the usb cable and ran motorola phone tools and there is a spot where you can set up an internet connection on your phone so that your computer can use it. It wants theh username and password and phone nuraber to dial. does anyone know if this is possible to set up?

also I can't get it to read my phone book from my phone either but it does charge through the usb cable

is this a possible workaround:

re-flash the cricket branded phone to an Alltel monster pack, then load the prl, including the evdo prl (for phx market).

then will the tethering work?

when i had my razr2 v9m on my account 'sprint flashed to cricket' it wouldn't tether. then i got a sprint mogul, flashed that an what do you know, tethering works. so i suggest my solution. ha ha
