Tetenus

My daughter will be two years old in a month. She fell down on the road and a local doctor suggested that she requires a tetenus. So I gave her a shot of tetenus. However, in a couple of days when we went to her pediatrician he said that she did not require any shot of tetenus as she had her regular vaccines. My question is that: Will this unnecessary shot of tetenus harm her?

Dr's are just cautious with disease and especially our children. :) I do not think you have anything to worry about. I get a *booster* every few years and I stepped on a rusty nail that went through my shoe and also got a tetanus shot with no ill after effects.

No, not too many years ago, a tetanus shot was administered every time anyone stepped on a rusty nail. In my childhood, (late 60's) I think they became a part of childhood immunizations, and they did last for for several years.
