is there any general blood test for allergies, if we dont know wat exactly allergy we have? My nose is getting stuffy and is 100% redlike dried blood from inside, been like this for a month now and i am not sure why.

I'm 25 and never had any health issues before. However from the last 2 months i have been having Rapid heart beats (after any exersion), BP shoots up to around 140-160/80-85 for a short period of time, ears start to pop, too much burping & stomach gas, mouth gets dry.

So i am getting mnay tests done but not sure how to check for any allergies, since all the tests i found look for a specific allegy and are not a geneal allegy test.

I can attribute all my problems to a stomach issue or a nervous system issue but it doesnt explain the red stuffy nose part which my doc says could be an allergy but he's not sure what and nor am i, esp since i have never had issues for 25 yrs.

Until now i have had blood tests done (CK, Thyroid, Free Test, SED Rate, Electrolytes, LipiRAB, Liver enzymes, CMP, TIBC) and everything is normal.

Have you had any allergy test done yet? There are many different types of allergy tests that can test for various things. They usually start with the usual suspects first.

But there could be other things causing your problems so it is best to keep on top of your doctor to find the cause.

You stated it has been like only for the last month. So I would ask if anything has changed recently such as diet or lifestyle.

The fact that you state your nose is bloody 100% of the time will require further investigation by your doctor.

Have you had the skin scratch test for allergies? It is a broad spectrum test that includes common allergens in your area. What about the blood test for food allergies? Those are the two common tests. You can go a blood test for environmental allergies but it won't isolate the specific allergen. I don't see a point in getting a test that just says you are allergic but doesn;t give you the specific allergens.

Nope, ive not had any allergy tests as yet. Well yes i did take something 2 months ago, 3 pills of ephedra which started everything but the red nose doesnt make sense.

Evenmy doc said ti could be an allergy not coz of the ephedra and he gave me a nasal spray, forgot the name but it starts with A.

And it helped, nose cleard so i stopped it. Then again it became all red.
The thing is if i know i am allergic to something atleast then i can rule out any other cause and narrow it down to this. Right now i'm not 100% sure if it's allergy or if something serious is happening inside.
