Best of luck!

Its early days yet, so dont expect a miracle instantly.

Do you still have a benzo you can take "as needed" ?

YES, thank goodness.

.37mgs of welburtin
80mgs of Inderal
.5 Klopolin

Having a bit of some shakiness and just out there feeling.....not really bad, day two!

Just hope this one works.

Well, I'd do what your doctor says - if that doesnt work, then its somthing to discuss with him (or ask for a referal to a psychiatrist)

Thank you, I want to try the corabo, and Lex .5mgs, and Wellburtin @ 37.5...........I don't know why he is like that.......

When I get insurance again............errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........I will being going to a mind dr..........:)

OMG.

I am only on Klopolin and used to take Lexapro, today while driving today, I had a vicious panic attack while driving.

This is NOT the first ...........I got really dizzy and thought I was going to pass out and almost wreck, I even pulled over one time.

I don't understand what is going on with me. I am ashamed to talk about this to my doctor, but must.

I am so scared, I could not even tell my husband, and he is my best friend.

Please help me......what should I do?

I just had tons of blood work done.........thyroid, Iron, sugar, Hormonal testing...........What is wrong with me............? I was once the speed angel, not funny either, but now this?:(

Should I try going back on a antidepressant? I will not let this take over me..............

I am defiantly going to..............the question is do I want to go back on Lexapro or Wellburtin?

Lex gave out on me, was good but pooped out on me, Wellburturin is what my doctor prescribed...........

Will be great to hear how the wellbutrin treats you. If I need to make a change I may choose that one too. Keep us updated.

Pls. this is serious........I am only 42 and don't know what is going on.........

My condolences of course himmy. Summer is almost here, time for all of us to enjoy the sunshine and what life has given us. How are you finding your energy level with the Wellbutrin? Any slight changes yet with that one?

Yes maybe a little.............the inderal makes me a little tired at first, hopefully that will pass.

The wellburturin I am taking is such a tiny dose this first week and next week I will bump it up to 75 mgs...........then we will see.

I exercised this morning, not going let this cr@p slow me down..........

Say a prayer for me..........K?

I also have panic attacks while driving, my ears start ringing and I feel very faint, and then the panic starts to set in. I just pull my car over and let it pass. I personally was feeling better and stopped my meRAB.....bad idea. I quickly started them back up and am feeling much better again. Might be a good idea to get back on them, just want to keep you safe.

Promise...........

Starting on 37.5 was told to take 75 mgs. but I don't adjust well to meRAB...........

First off, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Basically a panic attack is your brain triggering your "fight or flight" reflex inappropriately. Your body is preparing to either fight off attackers or flee from them, pumping adrenaline into your blooRABtream for extra energy. Unfortunately, without an enemy or disaster to fight/flee from, you're left feeling like you're having a heart attack or something. Blood work and all that - if it comes back normal just confirms that there's nothing wrong with you physically. Panic attack is physiological, meaning part psychological, part physical. The physical part is the nurabness, chest tightening, shallow breathing, etc.

I used to get panic attacks everytime I left the house, and would hyperventilate. Once I realized that I wasn't really dying, I learned to just pull over & wait for it to pass. Eventually I stopped having them. Antidepressants help tho - because I seem to have a permanent problem with seratonin levels in my brain, which is what anti-d's, at least the ones I've taken, affect. Klonopin is good to get you through a panic attack or stressful situation in which you are worried about having a panic attack, but the anti-d is what hopefully will straighten out your brain chemistry & help you get back to normal.

There are many techniques you can use to fight off panic attacks, and/or help you get through them. One is regulating your "self-talk". When you're in a situation where you have had panic attacks in the past, like driving a car, you can basically talk yourself INTO a panic attack by that voice in your head saying "oh crap what if i have a panic attack, I could pass out, wreck the car, etc." Best thing to do is hijack that train of thought & replace it with "I'm fine, there's nothing wrong with me, I'm going to be OK" etc. Another technique involves abdominal breathing, which I can't really explain but you can look it up on the internet.

Main thing is to do what you said - not let this take over your life. Keep getting out there & driving - if you start to avoid driving due to panic attacks it'll only get worse, but if you keep doing what you're doing the anxiety will ease over time.

Generaly SSRI's are better than Welbutrin for panic disorder (though Welbutrin may be better for depression)

I would start with an SSRI, and then try others if that didnt help - you could even take lexapro and welbutrin together, this is quite a common and very effective corabo.

And you would have your Klonopin to take on days when the anxiety broke through

I so much appreciate that...........I am going back on them.............was on Lexapro, pooped out on me, now dr want's to try Welburtrin on me.

Will start soon!

I can't and won't live like this.........:(

I would suggest going back on an antidepressant to take every day, saving your Klonopin for "bad" days

Thank you for answering my question. My doctor said not to mix these two together. BUT SEE WHERE PEOPLE HAVE AND MUCH SUCCESS.??????????

I will try the Wellburtin tomorrow, going out of town today, so better wait til tomorrow..........definably tomorrow.

I want to try both together at very small doses......but dr said not to?

Thank you......

Started my tiny dose of Wellburtin this AM...............so we are going to start from here.

God bless you all.

Good stuff himmy, the exercise thing is a great idea. Just last night I was able to begin my exercise routine again too. I completed a 30 minute run, and just before I logged in I completed another 30 minute run tonight. Exercise is defineitely key to getting over this, remeber "no pain, no gain"! At least that's what I tell myself......
