I was a passenger in car accident. We were hit by drunk driver, he admitted to falling asleep after they caught up to him at his house. He received tickets. i don't know for what but it left me unable to work. I was out for 3 months for post concussion because I hit my head on glass and right shoulder after accident. I went back to try to work, did light duty work , after awhile none was available for me (law enforcement) i was basically told I was a security risk. I went back to Doctor because I was still in so much pain but he assured me that it was strain. I went to orthopedic DR. They sent me to get Mri.I have to get surgery because of insertion injury tear or something like that. Meanwhile due to my head injury my breast have been making milk. No one can figure out what is exactly wrong. I had brain scan and it shows that i have a cyst in the brain and an enlarged vessel on the right side where I hit my head. I never went back to Neuro because It seemed like the more I go to Dr. I find out more stuff. I got a lawyer because i got terminated from work due to not being fit for duty. My question is should I be worried about the financial future of our family. My lawyer sent a demand letter but i do not even know how much they are demanding. Should I know? I am concerned. I hate going to DRs and the insurance company own independent medical examiner said i will never be able to do what I was doing before.i have faith n God and I am praying for healing . I can't have the surgery because I need 7 blood transfusion for medical clearance. I refuse to do that.not for a million dollars. What is a reasonable amount should i be compensated. I use to make $50,000+ a year and increases every year.I was in 10 years. Are they suppose to pay me what i would be making? Any thoughts anyone?

I am sorry i came across like I am just worried about money. i am not. It is just that i have 7 children and my husband works hard. I had a career worked for about 10 years. It is depressing situation > if i were to complain about everything the DRs put me on pain meds but it made me feel not all there and couldn't focus on kids. I am 35 and this accident happened 2 years ago. I am worried because I should be feeling better by now. thank you all for your responses.

Okay, first -- if you're sitting there waiting for "god" to heal you, you need more than a blood transfusion.
If you've missed so much work that you were fired, I'd be suing the guy that hit you for loss of income AND pain and suffering and GOD isn't a lawyer.
