Termi Slip-Ons or Not?

I know this has been discussed god knows how many times. Just want to get it in 1 thread. I'm looking to buy Termi slip-ons, since I don't feel like dropping the extra cabbage right now for the full system.
Question? Buy the termis slip-ons or go with another brand (Zard or Leo Vince) and buy a Nemesis ECU.
I like the idea that I can buy the exhaust manifold at a later time with the Termis, but haven't seen that offered with other brands.
Last but not least: The ECU that comes with the exhaust manifold on the termis: Is this the same one that comes with the slip-ons or is this set for the 70mm piping?
Decisions, decisions

This from a new 1098 owner. I purchsed the Termi slip-ons package when I bought the bike new last month. The Termis weren't in stock and had to come from Italy, so I rode the break-in period with the stock exhaust. At the 600 mile service, they put on the Termis, new ECU and air filter. Besides the really cool sound (make sure baffles come out), I found a smoother and faster rev up from idle. I haven't had the bike into the upper rpm band yet (above 7k), but I'm sure it won't disappoint. The weight loss is also nice as well. Gas mileage hasn't appeared to change much, if at all. The bike runs about 8-10 degrees cooler at cruising speed now. I'm guessing its the change in ignition timing with the new ECU along with the freer flowing exhaust. Overall, I'm very pleased I dropped the extra bucks for the Termis. I don't know if I would have had as good a result (without a lot of extra effort) if I had gone aftermarket. I highly recommend going the Termi route.

Besides, its cool when you show up with the termi carbons on...

I would hate to drop the money on the Termis and hear from someone: Why didnt you go with Leo Vince or Zard?? Why didnt you go with the Nemesis ECU. Before I pull the trigger, I need to hear it from the masses.
Thanks for the imput

I concur with radbikers all be it I have an 848 and the full kit. Performance was night and day better after the upgrade to the full system

As far as the ecu's the slip on ecu IS different then the full ecu. The slip on ecu (correct me if I'm wrong) makes it so the butterfly valve stays open and adjust for the 02 sensor that is connected. The full exhaust ecu takes into account that there is no butterfly valve and no 02 sensor.

I just had the Termi slip-on's installed last week and wow what a difference. Huge difference in sound. And I do notice a performance gain. Throttle seems snappier. And I'm glad to see someone else mention the 10 degree drop in engine temp. I was starting to think something was wrong. I highly recommend getting it. Now, what is everyone paying and how much for installation?

I went with the Termi Slipon Kit and got it, labor, a jacket and a few other things thrown in on the deal with a 1098S at MSRP with all the sweetners and goodies added.

I would have chosen the Termi over an aftermarket for several reasons.

1. Sounds as good or better to me than the Zard and Arrow that were on a few other bikes that were at the dealer's at the time for a very brief comparison. Start up, a few revs and shut down, on each was all, but there wasn't enough difference to make one really stand out as jaw droppingly better.

2, There was a warranty from the get go with no worries.

3. With another aftermarket set up, add in the new EMU/ Air Filter and tuning costs and where are the big savings? How much tuning is included, 1 or 2 dyno runs? How many dyno runs, pipe mods, different maps and road testing was done by the factory and Termi by comparison? My guess, a whole lot more with the Termis.
