I Have rented my properties to a gentleman. he never use to pay my rents on time so i asked him to leave the place with a period of time. He vacained the place without even telling me before the deadline,
When i went to see my property then only i came to know that. I found no council tax bill was paid, Electricity was cutoff and none of the bills were paid.
What i can do? Do I have to pay all the bills or is there anyother way where i can escape paying all those bills.
please advice me i am in great stress.

you need to get a lawyer involved. this is huge and against the contract of the tennant....

The law states that it's your property and your responsibility to pay. What you can do is take your tenant to small claims court, bring the proof that this person occupied the property, in addition to the bills you had to pay for out of your own pocket to bring your utilities current, and sue the tenant for reimbursement. You may also make the tenant pay for your court costs as well.

You must bring the proof in writing to court. A judge cannot make the tenant pay you back if you are unable to prove they owed money for the utilities during the time they occupied the property. You must prove the tenant was responsible to pay for those utilities during the time he occupied the property and proof that you paid them on the tenant's behalf in order to receive restitution. You will win, no question about it.
