I have a tenant who I have recently had to give a warning to regarding the noise level. Over the past few months I have had to talk with her over several noise issues. Mostly, that of the noise coming from her daughters bedroom which shares a wall with my husbands and my bedroom. She has received a final warning. She now is saying that her daughter had to 'move' into the utility room bc the noise from our bedroom was too much. This is very frustrating bc my husband and I are rarely ever in the bedroom. We do occassionally watch movies in there and we do have sex but it is not throwing into walls loud extreme sex that should be heard. I feel the tenant is saying this bc of the warning. Before this, she stated that the daughter had to move bc her bedroom smelled so badly of cat litter. (I have 2 cats). Her step son came to my apartment (hes friends with my sister) and was speaking to me about my sister then out of the blue asked me if i had my cat litter in the bedroom. I laughed and told him no. He asked where we had it I told him in the bathroom. He asked where my bathroom was I explained it was next to the tenants bathroom. Hes like well maybe thats why the bedroom stinks. (Which makes no sense bc they aren't even close) So I took him and showed him the litter. I scoop it every day it does not stink. How should I approach this?
The noise from the daughters bedroom was things like the brother playing his guitar from 3 am to 6 am. a tv blaring all night, groups of kids screaming over each other. They also said the daughter had to move bc my hsuband and I kept her up all night with our talking. (Apparently we never sleep)
