We recently moved into a US house built in the mid-50s. The shower / bathtub wall has a hairline crack that runs horizontally, continuously, across four ceramic tiles. We will call a tiler to replace the damaged tiles, but in the meantime, could we apply either a caulk or epoxy across this crack - as a temporary patch - in order to continue using the shower / tub? And if so, what specifically should we use? I have never caulked before, so I am not familiar with different types... I'd like to know what I should ask for if I were to walk into a hardware store.
Thanks!
