I have Telus internet with a Gigaset router and my internet is very slow. I am sharing the internet with 3 people currently, but only usually 2. My internet speed is only about 1mb max divided into 3 and it seems that I am getting the lowest ammount of the share. I am a very active gamer and I need about 300kb - 400kbs to play on most online games but I lag too much.
Before I had 3 people using the internet on 3 different computers, it was still pretty bad, only about 256kb average. My router is supposed to support up to 10mbs and I don't even get 5% of that. We restarted the router many times and it helps a little but then it becomes crappy again.
We phoned telus before and they said 1mb/s was enough for 3 people even tho we have a high speed internet plan and a router that supports 10mb/s. We live right in town and I know people close by who get way faster internet with the same provider.
Does anyone know how to fix this crap?
