Apologies in advance if anyone has asked this before, but I'm trying to find out when Telstar will be on the regular cinema circuit? I have been dying to see it since it was released but it has never been on at any of the local cinemas near me.
Can anyone tell me where I can get to see this film, rather than having to wait for the DVD?
I have Googled it but can't find the answer. :(

Sorry m8 dont know when its coming to cinema here, was supposed 2 be out in july,as far as i know the dvd is due for release in october.

How barmy is that? Don't they want the blimming film to make any money? I sent a message to the contact on the website about a week and a half ago but they haven't replied.

You probably already know, but the DVD just came out last week. I got it from Amazon but I also saw it on sale in Tesco yesterday.

It's a very good film, fantastic performance from Con O'Neill as Joe Meek. It captures the atmosphere of the late 50's and early 60's incredibly well.

What a strange thing to say! You couldn't have seen much of the film if that's the case. And it's well worth watching.

Coincidentally, Telstar's director Nick Moran was on The Wright Stuff this morning and he was chatting about how long the gestational period was for the film.

Thanks for the reply.

I saw him (Con O'Neill) in a play recently (he took over Matt Lucas' role) and this film was advertised in the back of the program and so intrigued to see it as was impressed with his acting in the play.

Caught this on DVD recently. A great film, IMO. Very funny and superb acting and direction.

Its distressing to me that so many small British films are struggling to get nationwide releases in the Multiplexes. The same thing seems to be happening to a slightly lesser extent with An Education. The multiplex cinemas carry dozens of screens, surely they should devote at least one screen in every cinema to homegrown movies, rather than the usualy American cr*p they normally show?
