telling car makes apart like plymouth/honda and ford?

its going to sound dumb, but i see so many cars around that i want to learn about them, i want to learn by when i see a car i can tell exactly what it is like if its a ford whatever or honda whatever, and even the old cars/like the street racers in muscle cars they can just tell by looking at it what its capable of and the name of it, i want to learn the older cars too people race with how can i learn, like right outside my house theres a car and i want to learn how to tell exactly what make and crap it is, is this possible to do ever WHAT WUD I RESEARCH
like all cars look so similar i dont see how people can tell them apart, even the older 1s

Cars all look the same now because the look and style is way down on the priority list. Cost and fuel economy are much more important for most models. If you are trying to make a mini van that has to be about a certain size and price there just are not that many options. Other thing is I think most of the designers use the same software to design aerodynamics so again you are back to the fuel economy and build cost being more important than style.
