We have a 13 year old, widescreen Philips CRT television. Over the last couple of months it is fine when it is first turned on, but after a few minutes the picture gets a bit darker and the colours are washed out. Rarely it is accompanied by flickering. I know we might need a new TV (expensive) so we were wondering why is this happening and is it possible to repair/ revitalise it?
