I was hoping to get the opinions of anyone who might know how a provider, say Cingular, might view the following scenario (would I get a black mark on record? - would it affect my account in any way? etc.)
I currently have 2 phones - 1 GSM with about a year to go on contract and 1 TDMA phone that is past contract period.
I realize that I will have to go GSM eventually on the TDMA phone and it has the phone number I would like to keep, but the only way I can do so is to switch that account/number to GSM. I can't transfer THAT number to my GSM account still in contract.
So, if I did the early cancellation on the GSM account and signed a new contract for GSM on my out-of-contract TDMA number, would Cingular flag me in any negative way?
Bottom line - I don't need the second number now and would prefer to just pay for one account.

Thanks for info if anyone has any.
