tekken 6 questions about character creation and how it is played?

never played it. i know nigh nothing of anything about it, and would be very very interested in learning. i know about the older games, like on the arcade, i was always the silly guy (yoshmitsu) or... well, depending on the game the tiger/dinosaur. now, i've heard and seen a little bit about it, and all i want to know is about the character creation. do you edit characters (will you be able to edit their face, proportions, and ect?) or like soul caliber iv, start from scratch? and i was wondering if this game is JUST one on one fighting, if you move around and fight "(like in streets of rage 3 the old sega game) or...? thank you if you can answer
