My dog will jump up and paw the area near the light switch (it's a big, broad button you press) when I ask her to turn on the light, but despite repeated placement of her paw on the light switch she doesn't get the concept that hitting *near* it is not the same as hitting *it*. We've been working on this for about a month. She already knows how to close the door and ring a bell to go outside, but both of those tasks are big, broad motions that don't take precision.
What are some specific ways to communicate with her that she needs to get her paw on the button itself?
