tech question on GM 3800 fuel injector removal necessity?

need to remove the lower manifold to replace the gasket. Will the upper manifold clear the injectors/rail if I remove it? I don't want to have to remove the injectors because they are such a hassle on vehicles that are not properly maintained so Im trying to find a way around it. I know how to get the lower manifold off but would like to be able to take it off without having to remove the injectors/rails....if you have a procedure throw it out there for me. thanks. And estimated time would be cool too; replacing lower intake manifold gasket
