For admission into a pre-college summer program, I asked my science and math teachers and guidance counselor to write recommendation letters. The program is pretty prestigious, and I do not yet know if I got admitted to it, but I would still like to thank my teachers and counselor for their help. I feel that a simple thank you letter would be too impersonal and ungracious. Seeing that these are not "big college recommendation letters," am I correct in thinking that a gift card, or something similar would be too much? If so, what should I give to express my gratitude, without over-doing it? Please offer specific examples (store website, etc.) Thanks in advance!
