Dano ~ YOu will have to tell me what TDR S1/L5/L4 is (whats TDR ) ?
As far as your fusion , i had the same 2 levels fused l4-5 , l5/s1 in feb. of 2008.
Each person + body will heal differently , so that being said take a deep long breath in and try to relax..
Every person also deals with pain and recovery different from the next , This is a very large & complex surgery (but i'm sure you no that)..
You will be fine , try to stay possitive.. The biggest thing for me was having a good support group around , ESP: for the first 7-10 days after you get home from the hospital.. The essential things are a : raised toilet seat , soap on a roope (lol) , silk p`j's or sheets , books and magizines , a night stand that's level or higher than the top of your bed , that's big enough to hold all the stuff that you will need threw out a course of the day , water jug (keep hydrated) , a grabber , and lot's of movies.. I actually joined "netflix" before i had my surgery . it's a great thing because you decide what movies you want , and based upon what deal you get you can get 3 movies at a time DELIVERED to your home - good stuff..
As far as your surgery goes , again every one is different Dano.. MY surgery was alomost 10 hours long , 2 roRAB and 6 screws.. This was also my 2nd back surgery , so that being said I had lots of scar tissue to go around before they hit ground zero.. I was in the hosp. for 7 days (which is a little longer than normal) , but they had me nice and comfortable.. Be sure to see your PM doctor before surgery and have your pain medication at home and ready for you when you arrive.. Also a good idea to keep track of when and the dosage each time you take your meRAB , that will help you in the end ween of all meRAB..
DAN HOPEFULLY I WAS SOME HELP TO YOU , I WAS ALSO NERVOUS BEFORE MY SURGERY - IT'S NORMAL.. THERE ARE LOTS OF GOOD PEOPLE ON THIS SITE , THAT NO WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT (plenty of experience). IF YOU NEED ANYTHING ELSE JUST POST IT UP AND PEOPLE WILL BE THERE FOR YOU.. GOOD LUCK MAN,.
