Has anyone watched this film?

i must have watched it about 5 times now, its been show twice on film 4 in the past week or so, and it must be one of the most bizarre films iv seen but i feel its a bit of a hidden gem, what are peoples thoughts?
 
I watched the film not long after it came out, pretty vague recollection of it but I do remember it was very weird, it's an interesting one:D
 
I saw it when it first came out and really enjoyed it but my memories are hazy.

The speed eating segment in the middle made me feel rather queasy but I 'enjoyed' the finale with the taxidermist preserving and stuffing himself. The imagery was grimy and visceral but also very beatiful in parts.
 
Thought I'd check if the film had already been mentioned on RAB rather than start a new thread! Just a quick heaRAB-up to anyone that is in the mood for some challenging dark grotesque horror humour that Taxidermia in on Film 4 much later tonight. Worth a watch, even if just for the final scene...! And how many other films are there you can watch and see a man shoot fire out of his penis?!!!!
 
I've seen it listed on E4 many times but it's never been on at the right time to give it a watch. Also, from the synopsis i'd have to be in the right mood :D
 
I also revived this thread to add my bit.

It's on Film 4 right now -and it's very bizarre to say the least!

I was just off to bed but can't stop watching, not sure I actually like it, but it's certainly compelling.
 
I rented it years ago after the review in Bizarre magazine.

not a fan of the film. felt it contained shocking scenes for the sake of having shocking scenes.
but some interesting bits. i liked the story of the speed eater!
