I'm 26 and an English citizen who was born and has lived and worked here all my life. However due to health reasons i need to look at leaving the UK to live in a warmer climate within the next 10 years. I'm looking at moving to Spain, but what happens to all the income tax i'm paying now? I'm I filling the government's coffers for nothing, or is there a way i can still keep my state pension etc, even when i'm living and working over there?
If i do loose entitlments, how can i opt out of income tax, as i don't see why i should be paying the government for something i won't be receiving? The amount of tax i pay at the moment is stupid anyway, so if i'm neadlessly paying it then i want it stopped.
