Tattoo on forearm or back?

I'm thinking of getting phases of the moon tattooed on my forearm or possibly middle of my upper back.

My question is: what is the pain level like with both of these areas?

What's the pain of getting a tattoo like in general?

Women: Is it less or more painful than childbirth?
