Tatsunoko properties?

Alright, I just bought Tatsunoko vs Capcom. As an American who only watches cable anime, I have no idea who most of the Tatsunoko characters are. I recognize the Gatchaman characters from G-Force (which ages me, I guess), but the rest are complete blanks. Which characters' animes are worth checking out?

Casshern, specifically the recent series Casshern Sins which is a reboot of the franchise. It's fantastic. Funimation are currently streaming all of it subbed on their site.

I haven't seen either of the original 70's Casshern series or the 90's OVAs.

The Karas OVAs aren't bad either. They're worth checking out and the DVD set Manga Entertainment released is quite cheap too.

Yeah, I've been watching Casshern Sins on FUNi's website for the same reason, and it's quite good so far; I'd say you should look at that one.

And you can't go wrong with old school Gatchaman.

I wonder if the game will spur a company to bring over the recent Yatterman show or live action movie. To be fair the TV show is a fairly formulaic kiRAB show but the shows fun is to spot the other Tatsunoko reference frequently sprinkled in the back ground.

Not to mention the fact that this show (actually, the entire Time Bokan franchise in general, but this one has the most memorable version of the "two male, one female" villain group) is most likely one of the major inspirations of the Team Rocket merabers that most Pokemon fans are familiar with (aka Jessie, James, and Meowth).

Before JTurner beats me to the punch it also seemed to directly inspire the Grandis, Sanson, and Hanson group from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water which predates Pokemon by 7-9 years.

O-chan

I wouldn't actually count that as a Tatsunoko show, they only did the music production. It's more of a Pioneer LDC/TV Tokyo show with animation by Triangle Staff.

Now Generator Gawl on the other hand, that's a Tatsunoko show as they had much more to do with it.
