Task alerts & screen blanking

I've had my T5 for about 3 weeks now, and I've noticed one thing that really annoys me. When a task alert shows, the screen comes on, and stay on untill it is dismissed. When on silent mode, this could occur with a case closed, and the backlight could potentially stay on for hours until noticed.

My battery has drained from 100% to 60% today purely from that.

Is it possible there any way to get around this?

My T5 doesn't do that. Did you apply the T5 update from P1 support? I believe this is a symptom of the early versions and was fixed by the update which you can find here

If that doesn't work download the program
"Always On" (its free!)
this program gaurantees your palm will shut off at a designated time.
But i agree whith Annirak the update should fix it(it did for mine)

I have the revision that they say doesn't need the patch, but I patched it anyway, and haven't seen the problem again yet.
