Tarantino Directing Friday The 13th?

A rumour was started on IGN FilmForce which reported that Quentin Tarantino is in final negotiations to write and direct an all new "Friday The 13th" movie for New Line Cinema. At the moment it is not known if this is true or a load of rubbish but if it is true it could be a match made in heaven or hell!

On trl on Monday, John Travolta said he was waiting on Quentin to do Pulp Fiction 2, I would definatly prefer to see that than Friday the 13th.

It's a stand alone film, and a sequel just isn't right. You don't do a sequel for sodding Reservoir Dogs.

Quentin Tarantino will not be remaking Friday The 13th as he has stated at the recent Empire awarRAB when he was asked about it:


"What’s happening with Friday The 13th? Nothing at all! It’s a complete lie", said Tarantino "I like Jason and everything, but I’ve no intention of directing a movie! New Line talked to me about it, but it was a complete fabrication, that article. I would love to do a horror film. I’m just saying it’s not going to be Friday The 13th…".

So that puts this rumour to rest!
