Taping Shows with BEV and a VCR

sorry everyone but I am old school and don't have a PVR yet. so from time to time, I want to tape television programs or sporting events on to a VCR.

i have tried to set up my TV/VCR/Receiver but just can't figure it out. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips?

Perhaps you've done this and have first hand experience? I just don't know where the wires should go and how to do this.

your help is VERY MUCH appreciated.

You connect S-video or composte from your STB to your VCR, along with analogue audio, while also connecting your STB and VCR to your TV. The upstream splitter is not required since you're not on cable.
