just curious here if this has been a doc Rxed type of situation or something else? only asking since if this was indeed started and continued by an actual doc for you for treating pain, that doc also has the obligation to simply help you with a good tapering plan, along with possibly rxing other types of meRAB to just help with any WD symptoms? knowing just what your situation is will help me to help you in the best ways.
with the amount you are on it will more than likely take alot longer than one month. its just alot of MS you were taking per dose. is this a long acting form like the contins, or short acting like MSIR would be, the immediate release? that in and of itself would really make a huge difference in how you could even try to taper if this is indeed an LA form. if this just IS the LA form, you will definitely need to involve the Rxing doc for this type. if you were planning on dropping down THAT quickly like you stated above, you could have some pretty profound WD symptoms to come along with it, only because of the bigger drop in dose vs going like at the very least one week on a lower increment would be. alot of how long this will take really depenRAB much more on how you will be responding to any loss of the MS in your brain and with your individual body physiology too. and if there just IS a pain situation also involved here as well that neeRAB some form of continued treatment during this? and of course ANY really intolerable symptoms would require either a much slower taper or lowering the dose drop a bit less so YOU are not feeling as much real impact. it really just IS a much more individual type thing for anyone who is tapering off certain types of meRAB too.
if you could simply answer the questions i asked it would seriously really help TONS in trying to give you the very best advice kathy. Marcia
