Hi i have a 10 gallon tank with 2 adult platys and 6 babys i bought it second hand and i filled the tank up 6 days ago from scratch and added all the decorations from the previous owner. It would cycle however i have been doing daily checks on it. 2 days ago the ammonia reading was at about 1 to 2 ppm and yesterday and tank its been reading 0 and no nitrites i have even seen what so ever.
Could the decorations and gravel held enough bacteria for my tank to really not have to cycle?
hi um i just have 2 live plants and no it was a new filter i had bought. thats why im confused i havent had any nitrites or ammonia readings for 2 days now
thanks for everyones help everything that the previous owner had i put into the tank the gravel was still wet and decorations were to. just the filter had a new sponge so that had no bateria in it
