Well... My parents got a divorce in feb. 2010. My dad had already lived in another state for about two years before that for work but visited about once or twice a month. Then he cheated on my mom with another married woman he went to high school with and my siblings and I were all very sad and felt betrayed. So was my mom!
So basically I havent talked to or seen my dad since around may 2009... During the divorce, the court ordered me and my siblings not to see him because he has temper issues, he got a DUI, etc..
Well now my mom thinks it would be much more healthy for me to try and have a relationship with my dad. She told me that she isn't mad at him and was simply hurt by what he did. She has pretty much forgiven him, however my brothers still won't even try to talk to him! They have basically removed him from their lives, but im not sure want to do that.
I plan on calling him in the next couple of days but I really don't know what to say!!! I think it will be pretty awkward considering I haven't talked to him in almost two years! He still sends me letters and has wanted to talk to me a lot and my mom always tells him how me and my brothers are doing, so I know he still cares about us. Please if you could just help me figure out what to talk about with him that would mean a lot to me!!! BTW I am a 13 year old girl. Haha sorry it's so long!!!
