: THE END

I felt this was significant since we're dealing with the end of a well-known brand here.

So, after 13 long and wonderful years, we have to bid farewell to Kids WB. The block, over the years, brought us what will be remembered for years as some of the greatest cartoons to come out of the 90's and even the 00's. It could even be argued that, without Kids WB, Toon Zone would not exist as it is today.

And so, the curtain draws to a close on the only remaining fragment of 90's Saturday Morning programming. While CW4Kids is just on the horizon, we must first say our goodbyes to the home of the Warners, the DCAU, X-Men Evo, Xiaolin Showdown, Freakazoid, Earthworm Jim, Jackie Chan Adventures, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and many other series we cherished for so long.

Here is the final KWB schedule:

7.0 - Will & Dewitt : "The Long March/Small Potatoes"
7.5 - Magi-Nation : "The Shadow You Know"
8.0 - Skunk Fu! : "The Art of Brainwashing/The Art of Turtle Watching"
8.5 - Tom and Jerry Tales : "You're Lion/Kangadoofus/Monkey Chow"
9.0 - Tom and Jerry Tales : "Game of Mouse and Cat/Babysitting Blues/Catfish Folly
9.5 - Spectacular Spider-Man : "Natural Selection"
10.0 -
Spectacular Spider-Man : "Persona" (NEW)
10.5 - World of Quest: "Fall of Oddyssia Part 1/
Fall of Oddyssia Part 2" (NEW)
11.0 - Johnny Test: "Johnny X and the Attack of the Snowmen/Johnny vs Dukey"
11.5 - Eon Kid: "The 18 Woodenmen"

Discuss.

Yeah, me too.

I woke up early and recorded the entire final broadcast of Fox Kids back in 2002, so it'd only be fitting for me to do the same with the other block I grew up with...:crying:

I guess I should pay my tributes:

Farewell, KidsWb. You had some truly great shows in your prime, and it was a fun ride while it lasted.

To think I spent most of my teen years watching this channel, its almost like its become part of my childhood. KidsWB, you have my respect.

man... I mean I don't like the current state of WB saturday mornings at all. But I woke up to his channel every weekend when I was younger. They did have some of the greatest cartoons in history like Batman The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons and freakazoid. And some good shows I liked like xiaolin showdown. And helped the Pokemon Franchise. It's a darn shame. R.I.P KWB

Wow, along time and now it ends? Ok.....
So I'm lousey at saying good bye with stuff. Um, you were a blast while we had you and now your gone. I'm not going to say I'll miss you since you'll just get replaced by some thing else but I will say that you were um great??

So what now?

(and now a word from garfield15)

**cough**cough**

ahem...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. WHY WHY WHY MUST EVERY CHILDHOOD MEMORY DISAPPEAR. First it was Foxkids, then it was Toonami (when it was on everyday), then it was Miguzi, then it was Pokemon's original voices, and now, now its gone. IT'S ALL GONE.

All we have left are those recorded episodes on tape from all those years ago.

Haven't watched the block much since the days of Freakazoid and Earthworm Jim, (stuck around a little for Pokemon though) but it was a blast and fond memories of all the WB cartoons it had!

Nuts. The day has arrived, sooner than I had hoped. It's the end of not only one of the best children's programming blocks ever, but also the end of a television staple going back to its dawn in the 50's. 4Kids and other tripe nobody watches doesn't count.

All the Grim Reaper needs now is Toonami to complete his collection (just wait a few days, he'll get to it).

But it's not over yet. ;)

You'll just have to wait a few days to find out what that hint meant. Keep checking a certain site for more.

Well, so long, Kids WB. You were really good to me in my pre-teen/teen years. You were the only reason I'd get up at 6:00 AM on Saturdays, so I wouldn't miss a single show on your block. You were THAT good. In your later years, you haven't been that great, with few gems and only about 2 or 3 shows I would watch.

Either way, a good chunk of my Saturdays were well spent with you, so farewell.

The block had a GREAT run from 1995-1999. I lost interest after that. But, anyway, Kids WB was one of the greats and ALSO one of the last network run Saturday mornings blocks. End of an era indeed.

So...this is it, huh? THE last staple of Saturday Morning TV is finally coming to an end.

...........

WHYYYYYYY! Why must our childhood come to an end so fast?! :crying: Farewell, KidsWB. Even when Saturday Mornings were in its decline, you never failed to deliver your strongest. These last few Saturdays, the only block I watched was you. Since I don't have cable or satellite right now, I'm sorry I won't be able to view the finale block tomorrow morning.

Right now, I'm having a hard time thinking of the right words, but all I really have to say is this:

You've brought us some great shows, great childhood years, and we will never (repeat: NEVER) forget you.

RIP KWB 1994-2008. :(

Uh....1995-2008, stargirl.

I'll bet at the end of Eon Kid, they'll go out with a good closure.

So long, Kids' WB! (Broadcast block, that is).

I didn't know they were ending Kids WB as of *today*; is 4Kids is taking over as of next week?

Either way, so long to the lineup that made me stick around (what eventually became) rabroad for quite a few years... even if I think it faltered once the Pokemon-onslaught (and other similar knockoff series) came down the pike, and its Recycled Stock Footage promos ranged from merely cheesy to downright hideous, I'm glad it was around for TNBSA, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, etc.

And now, looks like the last non-E/I Saturday morning lineup of interest (4Kids? *please*) is dead, and with it goes a tradition going back to the 1960s... *sigh*... more time to sleep in on Saturdays for kids, I'd imagine...

-B.

Well, the name of the block is changing, but the schedule is exactly the same. The promos for the shows will be the same as well; they'll just replace "Kids' WB" with "CW4Kids."

Another part of my childhood, fading away.:crying: Farewell, Kids WB.

I hate the fact that I'm expecting no recaps of anything or any kind of closure, but that's the animation business on the whole.

Thank you for bringing Saturdays back for me, after ABC broke my heart by selling its soul, and hanging in for as long as you did.

Nice... the current season's shows aren't even off the air yet (let alone not even being *Memorial Day* yet) and they're ditching the name already. *Sigh*...
