my partner and i have recently moved out of a privately rented property but the landlord wont refund our deposit or answer our calls and it turns out he hasn't put the deposit in a protection scheme either,he was in mortgage arrears and spent the money there instead. he also owes us over £400 in overpaid rent. we don't have the money to take him to court and im hoping someone knows A) is it possible to take him to court without spending too much if,at all and B) is it possible i could win and recover costs etc? many thanks in advance!
